A dream place for tiger lovers. The place, the setting is just something to be experienced. The lovely meadows and the forest just gleams in the beautiful sunlight. Summer is a good time to look for tigers too. Sightings are generally higher this time of the year.
WHAT YOU LEARN
A great opportunity to observe, learn about and photograph the majestic cat in its dominion. You will understand the nuances of wildlife photography. How best to use the available light to create high impact images. How to posit yourself properly and wait for the right moment rather than go trigger happy. A lot of interactions on the field and off it regarding compositions and post processing will help you to up your photography skills many notches.
On the Big Cat Trail
Bandhavgarh National Park, is one of the most popular national parks in India, located in the Vindhya Hills of the Umaria district in Madhya Pradesh it was declared as a national park in 1968 and is spread across an area of 105 km². Bandhavgarh flourishes with a large biodiversity of flora & fauna and is famous for its high density of tigers. The park also has a breeding population of leopards, jackals, dholes, various species of deer and more
The park has been divided into three major zones namely Tala, Magdi and Kithauli. It consist of soft sandy tracks throughout the park for safaris. Bandhavgarh consists of mixed vegetations ranging from tall grasslands to thick Sal forest. Due to varied topography, the Bandhavgarh national park provides ample opportunity to spot the majestic Indian tiger and some rarely seen animals like leopard and sloth bear.
Summer is a great time to look for tigers. Tigers, habitually come down to specific watering holes for a drink or cooling themselves. Sightings are hence, generally higher during this time of the year. Brace yourselves and get ready for some thrilling wildlife photography
Day 1 – April 20th ( Thu )
Participants arrive at the resort from their locations. Depending on the mode of journey, we all expect to gather at our resort by late afternoon/evening. We then go through a briefing of the tour. Then, would be time for dinner and retire for the day.
Day 2-4 – April 21st – 23rd ( Fri, Sat & Sun )
Wake up call at 4:30 AM, followed by a hot cup of chai. We head on to our morning safari into the forest of Bandhavgarh. A great time and wonderful light to try out many different compositions and image making. We will be on the lookout for the tigers of course. All the time, our tour expert will be there to guide you every step of the way. We come back to the rest by 10:30 AM. Freshen up, have our breakfast and get together for a quick discussion session. How things went on in the safari and suggestions for improving our image making skills etc.
Post that, we are all free to take rest or explore the resort property. A good birding location it is too. We then gather for lunch at 1:30 PM and head on to our afternoon safari at 2:15 PM.
Coming back at 5:30 PM, we have tea and snacks and go through one quick discussion session again. Some tips on post processing also will be covered.
Following this will be dinner at 8:30 PM and then retire for the day.
Day 5 – April 24th ( Mon )
While the tour comes to an end on this day, we go on our last safari in the morning, once more looking for the majestic tigers, beautiful birds and other wildlife in the park. Post the safari, we get back to the resort and finish our breakfast. We then have a quick session on post processing. Sharing tips on the way to get the best out of your images. Post this, we checkout and head on our way back home, with lots of memories and images, till Birdwing brings us back together again.

TERMS AND CONDITION
- The taxi from Jabalpur to Bandhavgarh and back will be on cost. We can arrange for the cab and also help in car pooling depending on the time of arrival of participants. Please do let us know in advance
- Depending on your return flight/train timings, if you have the need to stay back on the last day ( the 5th day ) of the tour, it will be on cost. We can surely help arrange the stay for you at the resort itself or at any of the OYO rooms or such in Jabalpur. Do let us know in advance.
- INR 15,000/- advance required for provisional reservation
- Needed towards securing of forest permit with valid ID proof.
- Remainder (100% ) within 30 days from the first payment
- 60% refund if cancelled before 2 months from the date of travel
- 20% refund if cancelled after 2 months and before 1 month from the date of travel
- No refund if cancelled within 1 month of the date of travel
